Just a quick little post today. I was browsing a local Recipe Exchange on Facebook and was reminded of a quick and easy way to fix green beans.

The finished green beans, sans bacon, since I didn’t have any bacon when I made these today. But they are still yummy.

 

The recipe on the exchange calls for:
2 cans of green beans-drained
1 package bacon pieces (do not use imitation bacon)
1 tbsp butter
Italian dressing to taste.

However,I make mine differently but thought I would give you both variations so you can try whichever one you choose, or even come up with your own.

For mine I use:
canned green beans drained
1 tbsp butter
2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
1 tbsp low sodium soy sauce
1/2 tsp garlic powder
(all of the seasonings can be altered to your tastes)
Bacon pieces

Heat pan on hi, add butter. Once butter is melted add green beans, then seasonings, mix well. Simmer for about 10-15 minutes. And viola you are ready to serve next to your favorite dishes.
